A Little Panic Gets the Heart Pumping

In my new-blogger excitement, I was innocently tweaking the title of a possible future post. I hit 'enter' and to my surprise and horror, a message popped up offering me a chance to view my JUST PUBLISHED POST!

"NO! WAIT! STOP!" I pleaded with my computer, but to no avail. (In the midst of my panic, my darling husband sat mere feet away from the mayhem, completely unfazed by my frantic cries and activity. What can I say? He knows me well.) Hoping I was misunderstanding the phrase "your post has been published," I clicked the button to view my blog and there, in all of its utter non-glory, was my unfinished, very rough draft, staring at me from the top of my homepage.

If, like my darling husband, you aren't given to perfectionism or over-reacting, you may not see how posting an incomplete, unedited story is worthy of panic, so let me attempt to illustrate. Have you ever composed an email complaining about work, hit send, and then all of the sudden you aren't absolutely sure whose name was in the 'To:' box. Was it your best friend or was it your boss?? Still no sense of panic? Teach me.

The quickest remedy I could figure out was to delete the accidental post and pry the 'enter' key off of my keyboard. That post is gone, but now I have a blogging story to share. Anyone else have a share-able embarrassing blog or email moment?

Do you remember when I accidently sent that email to Roger instead of you and it was about Roger? I had to sneak over and erase it from his email! I have never been more panicked! I hope he doesn't know about your blog and read this. :)

First, let me say that I am SO glad you are here! Secondly, I haven't had that experience with technology but back in the day (I think 8th grade)I was trapped on 3-way. A girlfriend had called to ask what I thought about a guy who was rumored to like me. Unknown to me, said boy was on the line as well. Fortunately, I didn't go into to much detail but I was very clear that the feelings were not returned. OOPS!

Looking forward to hearing from you more! I LOVE the bog title!

Allison, I do remember that! How funny! (looking back, of course!) I've never actually done that, at least not that I'm aware of!

JB!!! I feel your pain, thankfully for B it didn't work out with the guy back in 8th grade. :-) So good to hear from you! I lost all of my "favorites" a while back, I need to get a link to your blog.
